Jessica Ellis is a Licensed Professional Counselor and published author in Pennsylvania. Before obtaining her counseling license, she received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Dickinson College and her master’s degree in clinical and counseling psychology from Chestnut Hill College. She is now the co-owner of the private practice Next Chapter Counseling, LLC in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Jessica has always had a passion for writing, specifically, poetry. She became motivated to write her debut children’s book, The Coping Kids, after becoming a mother herself, searching for examples of children confronting their emotions in healthy ways. She combined her love of poetry and her knowledge of therapeutic interventions to lend a helpful hand to families in need. She continues to be a therapist by day and writer by night.
When she is not working or writing she can be found outside exploring nature with her daughter or watching her stepdaughter play softball.
